Clay Shooting Guides
Straightforward introductions to clay targets, first visits, formats, costs and competitions.
Get to know clay shooting before you go.
These guides are for beginners and curious visitors who want to understand the sport before attending a shooting ground. Start with the basics, explore a format or use the planning guides to ask better questions about a visit.
They explain the wider UK sport. They are not firearm-handling lessons, individual participation advice or a substitute for an organiser’s instructions. Sources are listed with each guide; confirm your own session arrangements with the ground.
