Regular shooting takes place on published shoot dates. October to February operates fortnightly, so the ground is not open for public shooting every weekend. The remaining seasonal schedule and individual dates should be checked with the business.

Beginner sessions are available, normally arranged on Saturdays or Sundays before or after scheduled events. Private group days may be arranged on any day, subject to availability and prior agreement. These are separate arrangements, not additional public opening hours.

New to the terminology? Start with what clay pigeon shooting is or compare Sporting clays and Sportrap.

Tell the business whether you have shot before, how many people are coming and the date you are considering. Ask what the session includes, what equipment arrangements apply, and the current cost. Do not assume equipment, tuition or a particular number of targets is included.

Clough Head plans to run monthly competitions and an annual Boxing Day Special Shoot on 26 December. Formats, entry conditions and exact timings are confirmed for each event.
